First founded as Eskişehir Academy of Economy and Commercial Sciences in 1958, it became Anadolu University in 1982. Since then, Anadolu University has strived to be the best. Today, Anadolu University is considered one of the most modern, dynamic, and innovative universities not only in Turkey but around the world.

Yunusemre Campus, the main campus, is situated in the center of Eskişehir, a city known as a scientific and cultural center. Some of the faculties and vocational schools, social facilities, and administrative units are located on this campus. İki Eylül Campus, where the College of Physical Education and Sports, Vocational School of Foreign Languages, the College of Civil Aviation and the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture are situated, is only a 5-minute drive from the city center. Anadolu Airport is also located on this campus.
